Prenatal Consultation

Prenatal consultation offers the chance to meet and partner with families with high-risk pregnancies. We work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialists, obstetricians, pediatric medical sub-specialists, and surgeons to provide quality care before delivery. During your pregnancy, your doctor may be concerned about ultrasound findings (birth defects) or risk for delivering prematurely based on your health or your baby’s health, or due to multiples such as twins or triplets.

Our team may meet with expectant families during an outpatient visit or during a maternal inpatient admission to guide you through the expected delivery room course and potential inpatient stay, and to partner with you in developing an expected treatment plan, if possible, before your baby is born.

We coordinate care to ensure successful deliveries, including involving any sub-specialists needed. We can also arrange a tour of the NICU for you before delivery.

For families with medical complications, the journey can be very stressful. We are dedicated to supporting and guiding you while providing care during each phase of the process.
